Hi everyone, here are just a few awesome volunteer opportunities coming up across the island! Visit each of the websites for more information and opportunities.

1. WAIMEA VALLEY: https://www.waimeavalley.net/volunteer
– Sunday, 9/7, 9:00-11:30: Mālama Mala Volunteer Day
– Mālama the gardens and cultural sites of Waimea Valley.

2. PROTECT AND PRESERVE HAWAIʻI: https://www.protectpreservehi.org/
a. Sunday, 8/31, 8:30-11:30: Pōhaku Sessions
b. Learn uhau humu pōhaku (Hawaiian stoneweaving) from Kumu Kimeona Kane, and help construct walls at Protect and Preserve Hawaiʻiʻs restoration site in Pia Valley.

3. ALOHA TREE ALLIANCE:

Get Involved

– Saturday, 9/20, 8:00-11:30: Community Work Day
– Remove invasive species and ready the space along Kuliʻouʻou Ridge Trail for this seasonʻs cohort of native seedlings.
